Seeking to redefine the term ‘on the rocks,’ the entertainment items brand SPARQ has proposed some fanciful options to boring ice cubes. Whiskey Rocks, cubed pieces of “non-porous, odorless, tasteless, and food secure” soapstone, just require a stint in the freezer prior to becoming plopped in a drink for chilling duties (and, alternatively, can be heated in the microwave and dropped into a hot drink to keep it warmer longer), even though Whiskey Cubes and Wine Pearls, produced from polished stainless steel, do the same thing in a slightly flashier way.
